?

Which strip on a 76 Maverick

  1. You are too sensitive. Who give a flip what others think - Go with a 71 or 72 strip.

  2. Might be best to stick with a 70 strip since it doesn't say Grabber.

  3. OMG - The Grabber strip is sacred.

I thought about stripes a lot for my car. I didnt want to do a Grabber clone and I thought a Grabber stripe without all the other Grabber goodies looked odd to me. The only Grabber stripe I considered was the early style without the GRABBER cut out. I think that stripe is acceptable on a non Grabber. In the end I decided to keep it simple and make a stripe.

Dave is right with the purist thing. Your not likely going to run into one and most other people dont have a clue what a real Grabber is. Our Maverick purists arent usually the type to knock your car anyhow. Maverick guys are a different breed. At least I think we are anyhow.

Agreed, I didn't ask permission(not that you are, I realize you're just wanting opinions) before I partially cut up my rust free pristine LA DSO car and I wouldn't expect anyone else to either. The great thing about these cars is you get the advantages of owning and driving an old, fun semi classic hotrod without the butt puckering mentality every time you pull it out of the garage. Buy it, Mod it, Make it yours and enjoy it!

...and I also think Maverick owners are a different breed. Well put!

If you want the Grabber stripes. Then I would get the 1970 style without the "Grabber" script.
