Ya i think so too. Was looking for anohter pair to paint incase I dont't like it though. If I have time Saturday morning maybe I'll give it a go and see if I can get them painted. I think its more important than putting in the kick panels.

Looked at your blog.....glad to see you went with chrome bumpers. I think that will make a huge difference in the final product.

Just a thought on your emblem. At the shop a few weeks ago we did an early 80s Bronco and the emblem in the grille broke off like yours. The emblem was nice and with the owners permission, we put it on with urethane like is used to put windshields in newer cars. I seriously don't think you could knock it off with a sledge hammer now.

Or maybe make a round plate with a couple of studs thru it and urethane it to the emblem. You could do the same thing with epoxy. That way it would be removable in the future.

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
    Looks good! :)

I used the cheap 95cent walmart paint, it's been through 3 California summers already and the paint is hasn't peeled or faded.

I was impressed for such a cheap paint!

For all my other plastic parts I use Plasti-kote. There's a dealer near me that I get it from for a third of the retail price.

i did the same thing with a matte flat black finish 1 dollar can, i did the grille and the metal around the lights and it really makes the lights pop when u have them on. 100_6949_original.jpg dont mind the right fender, it was recently wrecked and we took off the light cause it wasnt messd up. but u can see wat a difference it can make to darken up ur grille area.
