    Does anyone know what this part is, and does it have anything to do with air conditioning?
    Photo is just one i found online, think i'm missing this part.

    The part you have circled is a heater control mixing valve and does tie in with your A/C unit

    The valve blocks coolant flow through heater core when A/C is activated.

    A "hot" heater core will reduce effectiveness of A/C.

    You can use one for a 69/70 Mustang. They are smaller and look a little different but do the same thing.

    The one you have circled in the above picture is the V-8 version, and can be pretty tough to find.

    Well i have an inline 6 engine, didn't think it would matter.
    Since i live in a hot climate i just added a manual valve to the hose, thing is i have these two vacuum lines from the AC switch which i couldn't figure out, guess that matter is solved now :D
    Although getting the right part for it would be nice indeed

    In bygone days, that was how heaters were shut off for summer.

    Unused vacuum lines should be plugged off.

    This is off a 2000 Ranger, it’s what I’ll be using to turn off the flow of antifreeze to the heater core on my Comet.
