Got some brake lines and gas tank vent line installed. Spent the day yesterday installing the heater box and dash.
Thanks Rusty! Yes, I plan on keeping the original AM radio in it. I have been looking at an AM/FM/MP3 conversion like this, below: I'm not a big stereo guy, and I never have been. I do NOT like the look of anything other than OEM radios. If I do decide to go the conversion route, I'll save the swap for next winter. Right now, I'm just trying to get the car back together. I don't need to drive around town with my car sounding like someone is stuck in the trunk, beating on the trunk lid...
I hear ya. I am at the same point. I want to be putting parts on the CAR, not the SHELVES. The reason I ask is because I was looking at the Retrosound line of radios. Kind of pricey though, lol. http://www.retrosound.com
rusty, i have the retrosound in my mustang. it looks pretty old school with the display overlay, but is priceless with it's bluetooth connection.
Paul, at least you have a radio, mine came with a ratty ass cassette player that I tossed... I do have a NOS bezel, may eventually stick one of my Torino AM/FM in it...
Looks good Paul. Did you remember to stick some dynamat in the dash? I wish I would have put something behind the center speaker grill to black it out. The reflection in the windshield is distracting to me. I love that little exhaust pipe sticking up there. Fond memories of that monster 170 CID that came in mine. Not far now and you will be on the road. Keep it up! Micah
Thanks Micah! No, darn it!!! I forgot to put something up inside. I'm sure I can reach up in there still and get some sound deadening material up there. Thanks for the reminder! If your 170 was a monster, then this 200 will be a titan!
Front brakes plumbed, instrument cluster installed, steering column is in and the package tray is bolted in place! Have to locate that second clip and bolt for this brake line. I'm sure it will show up... eventually!
Thanks Rusty! No, those are the original lines. Just cleaned them up and painted/clear coated them. I will have to make new lines from the master to the block, as I am using the later disc/drum master and the fittings are different.
Installed my Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve for the rear disc brakes. I am also using a 74+ disc/drum master. I didn't want to install the valve in the engine compartment, so I hid it just in front of the rear axle where the rear flex hose mounts to the body.
