Check with your state DMV. In GA, you can on 1970 and older vehicles. It's different in almost every state though I think.
i'll have to check into that. the collecter plates they sell here aren't very nice. they say collecter car on them but they even left the two outlined rectangles where the tabs go....
I'm running a vintage vehicle tag right now, nothing special, but am on the look out for a 1974 Alabama tag starting with 32-....., that's the number prefix for my county. When I find one, I can turn in the vintage tag and run the 1974 tag, provided that the number series isn't already being used on another year tag. I've got a near perfect 1972 Alabama tag with the 32- prefix if I ever get a 72 Mav....
