    Forgot you've been gone for a while. I think I lost a head gasket again on the way to Fun Ford Weekend. I gave up on the motor and picked up a new Ford 5.0 crate engine. Sitting on the stand in my garage ... hopefully I can start working on getting it ready to install this weekend ...

    Geeze. I was at the GA meet hoping to meet you when the bad news came. That motor block must have a warped head or uneven deck on the block. This was the 3rd head gasket, wasent it?

    Those are nice Dan but, I like mine just as much. lol Thanks again for the seats. I sure got a better deal. I'm glad you sold me your old ones before getting the bill for the new ones. lol

    LOL ... yeah ... you did get a better deal! But I had to have the correct 1971 Seats for my car! :) ... I think FoMoDave is interested in the engine once I get it pulled out.

    Looks great Dan, I guess the quote I got on my bench seats wasn't to bad then, 550.00 and I supply the plaid material.
    I think a good upholstery job is better then what came from the factory and worth the money.

    The place I go charges a flat fee for labor ... $225 per bucket + materials ... $200 per bench + material ... I assume you are only supplying the plaid insert and they are supplying all other vinyl and material so your price sounds about the same my guy charges ... Because of the complexity of the 71 Grabber buckets I think I got my moneys worth out of them ...
