It appears that the DSO is 84, and if so it is listed as "Home Office Reserve." What does that mean? Again, very cool score, MapleMav
I don't think so... I think all DSOs are 2 digit numbers: Here are the Ford DSOs for 1972: Ford DSO Codes: <TABLE cellPadding=0 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top width="33%"> 11 - Boston 37 - Buffalo 13 - New York 38 - Pittsburgh 15 - Newark 16 - Philadelphia 17 - Washington 21 - Atlanta 22 - Charlotte 23 - Memphis 24 - Jacksonville 25 - Richmond 26 - New Orleans </TD><TD vAlign=top width="33%"> 28 - Louisville 41 - Chicago 42 - Cleveland 43 - Milwaukee 45 - Lansing 46 - Indianapolis 47 - Cincinnati 48 - Detroit 52 - Dallas 54 - Omaha 55 - St. Louis 56 - Davenport 57 - Houston </TD><TD vAlign=top width="33%"> 58 - Twin City 71 - Los Angeles 72 - San Jose 73 - Salt Lake City 74 - Seattle 75 - Pheonix 76 - Denver 83 - Government 84 - Home Office Reserve 85 - American Red Cross 87 - Body Company 89 - Transporation Services 90-99 - Export </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
would home office reserve mean something like a showroom car? i.e.-a car that was loaded w/options and only made it to the local showrooms and not truly for sale.......although all cars are built for sale....... I know that gm has that type program, and sometimes the dealership I worked at would sometimes get cars like that through the gm auction. The last one was a 03 regal gs that was a "showroom car" with 800 miles on it..........Robert
OK I think you guys are on to something here. You got me started thinking so I went outside to look just now and the DSO is definitely a "B4". So I checked my 4-door and it's got the same DSO code. I can remember when I first got the 4-door, thinking it was an "84" and thinking it was odd when I found it was the code for Home Office Reserve. Anyhow Craig, you are correct. There is a site that lists the Canadian DSO's. "B4" is apparently the code for the mid-western region, Manitoba and Saskatchewan DSO. Here's the link: http://66ford.fordregistries.com/DECODE%20YOUR%20OWN/DATA%20TAG/dso.htm
