Hey did anyone notice it says GT 350 on the side? Instead of GT 500. :hmmm:

    Me gusto mucho!

Are those the factory original seats that you have recovered?
    They look very good.
    Mas fotografias por favor.

What kind of interest is there in Mavericks in Mexico?
    Are there any Mercury Comets?

    G.t. 350

'65/'66: GT 350 was the designation on the first 2 yrs. of Shelby GT cars-'65 and '66. It had a 289 small block.

'67 GT: they could be had with a 289(GT 350) or 428 big block FE engine called Police Interceptor with 2 4V's(GT 500).

'68: the GT 350 was changed to the then new 302 (250HP vs. 306HP of the Hi-Po 289 after Shelby upgraded it from the factory 271HP) or the GT 500 was available with the same Police Interceptor 428 with only 1 4V, then mid year he introduced the GT 500KR. The KR stood for 'King of the Road'. They came with the single 4V 428 Cobra Jet-a motor that debuted in Feb. '68 at the Winternationals Drag Race.

'69/'70: Shelby upped the GT 350 to the then new 351 Windsor 4V rated at 290HP. The GT 500's retained the 428CJ.

Very nice Mavericks! (y) I think the first one would look better without the scoops on the side. But they are both very nice!

    <---- Ford Freak here.

I know what they were, I was just refering to it being a Eleanor type clone. :)

Thank all for the coments, the seats are recovered factory originals;the interest in Mexico for the Maverick is low, there are alot of Mavericks but the 99% are in very bad
shape, never were Comets sold in Mexico.
    Saludos a todos.

Both are very cool cars. I wouldn't call that an "Eleanor" clone, more of a shelby clone and a cool one at that. I could also live with out the sail panel scoops but the rest of looks awesome to me. Your red car is very good looking also!!! Welcome to the board.

Nice wheels. The body scoops are pretty lame though...
