Maybe you could take a picture of tunnel with the floor shifter hole from where it is spot welded to the trans crossmember back to between where the seats bolt through the floor pan, both from the left and right side.
    Thanks,
    John

Ok, got started cutting the tunnel............actually I've been working on this a little over the past few weeks, but I've been putting it off. Well I need to get going on this so I can get the car back on the strip..........so
I actually got a quote from a guy to do this, and he wanted $600 and the car for a week...............so, I'm going to save the money and do it myself.
I've cut the 71 tunnel and fit it, cut a little more and need to cut it a few more times and do some bending................then I'll weld it in or have someone do the finish welding as the floor is going to remain bare and I want it to look halfway decent.

Anyway you don't know how much you use your thumbs until you can't...................at least I can put gloves on and work now.................need to get this done before racing season is over................again.

Got everything in place and started to weld but ran out of gas.........to late to make the journey today................will try and finish tomorrow.
I'll use the factory floor shift tunnel (orange) to reinforce the section of tunnel I put in, plus it will give a good platform for the shifter.

Like my Megashifter, it looks like the cable hole will be out in front of it all.. I had a heck of a time grinding out the hole because it landed on a reinforcing part underneath. Maybe not a part but the area underneath is reinforced..

I already thought of that, the hole (rectangular) is already there, I made sure...........also the trans brake comes the same place.
