Hmmm, interesting. So this might be a good excuse to get a few runs in after all.

Nah... PINKS has become a bit of a phenomenon... it's exciting, it makes you drool over the cars, it makes you want to fix up your beater and go race... and their 'formula' has gone back to a type of grass roots racing... it's not just the mega-buck top fuel cars with millions in sponsorship... everyone who shows up gets a chance (2 passes I think) and it isn't the FASTEST cars that get selected... it's usually the CLOSEST and CONSISTENT 16 cars... that's what prevents drivers from pedalling and makes you run head to head flat out. I think people have been ejected from competition because they ran as much as 1/2 sec. too fast.

Pinks All Out is not a competition to "lose your ride" ... if you make the final 16 you THEN start racing for money - wins after that take $1000 and that's what the racers gamble with until the final two... everyone who doesn't make it prior to that just walks away and says they had a good time. No one loses if they raced and had fun.

I *LOVE* to see the "underdogs" with low buck racers make it to the finals, when attrition by red lighting and mechanical breakdown get prevalent as the drivers get more and more excited. Apparently they've won a number of the All Out competitions.

I just talked to an old high school buddy (we used to fix muscle cars up in high school) and he DOESN'T HAVE A TV and he's NEVER HEARD OF PINKS.

    Sheesh...

You won't have the money to bet, unless you get into the sweet 16. That's when they give you money for winning. Then the betting gets serious..... Come on Comet155! Get registered..... Just the cost for registration, is all it will cost you... You might make money on on deal. If not. It was a fun weekend for around $50...

Jimmy I hope you don't mind me asking this but wasn't it you that had problems getting your maverick from the USA to Canada because you were not allowed in the USA for a minor infraction of our laws? I was just wondering because if it was you (and I am probably wrong) I was just curious how you are going to come to Washington State to run in Pinks? I mean I do wish you all the luck in the world it would be really cool to see a board member driving a Maverick in Pinks All out on the TV show and all. So if I am mistaken and it wasn't you or if you have since gotten that cleared up I wish you luck when you ge there

DaMadman ,no worries friend ,well im going to get my friend to cross the border with truck, trailer and car ,but drop me off at Zero avenue (the border) on the Canadian side and thats when i become Outlaw Jimmy2gates and i run through the weeds and brush to the other side and have him pick me up ,YAHOOOOOOOOO. No, all B.S aside ,im going to sign a legal document to have my friend Jay Wier take my car over the border and race it for me ,Its not about me winning ,i do enough of that right her in Canada ,its about our MAVERICKS winning. Thats the truth in a nut shell. Jimmy. If Jay were to win, we would split it 50/50,but to me its all about our cars getting the credit they deserve as a great looking fast machine.

I still think it's a shame that you have to do that. You should be able to race your own car. Make a Run for it hahahaha
