posting pics

    New to the board here, but not to computing or at least I thought! Trying to post a picture and the system says it is too large. When I look at the file it states it is 505,000 bytes! For a single photo? I must be doing something wrong.. Any help?? Scott

    You have to shrink it down to 100,000 bytes or smaller. Almost any good photo program will do this. Most digital cameras come with one. If you dont have one, you can send me the picture and I'll do it for ya.

    i know...i know

    I had the same problem when I used a new camera. My old mavica worked fine, but the new one had to high pic quality. I used photoshop and just reduced file size(filter) I still need to reduce overall size so that the pics fit on the screen better. probably will just use old camera for posting pics, would be easier...robert
