powder coating

    The mav is gone but i'm still here!
    They look awesome(y) i've been meaning to buy a system but the big oven gets expensive and no room.


    question can you use a stove oven?(one that is not used to cook food)

    It has to be a metal object to be able to be powdercoated. The metal is given a posative charge and the powder a negative so they stick together when you spray them.

    yes, you can use a oven as long as it goes to 400 deg.that is what i use.

    i have also baked some at 350 deg for 20 min with good results.

    I guess I had that coming :p



    *Yeah regular old household oven is fine (must be electric) and just an FYI, some of the powder I have been using says 450* until it flows then 20 minutes at 400*.
