wow talk about having to think outside the box! looks pretty cool except the big pipe sticking over the top. did you consider running it along one side? I know it wouldve meant more plumbing but curious to see if you gave it any thoughts. Ive seen guys actually cut a hole in there hood just big enough to clear the pipe and they run it the length of the pipe and Ive seen some wild bends theres a 67 camaro out here Ive seen ONCE he came out lookin pretty raggid until you slowed down to look at the hood then you realized it was a sleeper attempt. he had a cold air pipe sticking about half way out of the hood curving around toward the passenger side fender and back to the center of his hood
Bends restrict the airflow! I wanted the straightest shot possible from the blower to the carb. I am modifying my hood to clear. This is where the hood is at so far. Plan to cover with Carbon Fiber.
The race car lives again!!! It has been a long journey. Got it all back together and running this morning..... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Fi_R3tVSYDk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> UPDATE:
Yea! I'm sure that sound just makes your day, it would mine. Congrats! Can't wait to hear what kind of numbers you will run. Please post.
Do u run methanol injection for cooler intake temps? Can post some pics of the hole car? Car is bad ass. Very nice job.
What track do you run at? I'd like to see this thing in person, since ur in Arkansas, I spend most of my time at Centerville Dragway.
Nick hopefully you will get to see it in person before long. Centerville is where I go but haven't been there in about a year and a half. Having issues getting car back to the track. Trying to make more horsepower of course and then one thing leads to another. Hopefully getting close. Will keep you posted.
Guys new update! After popping a head gasket on the dyno we made new changes. Converted to "Bigstuff3" EFI which entailed all new piping. Added the intercooler back to allow it all to fit under the carbon fiber hood. Should be very close to going to dyno again. I am having to add a second fuel pump. It will be in later this week.
