Thanks for the comments. I was thinking about getting different wheels and hoodscoop, but I think I’ll the way it looks. This car was basically a “barn find” and when I got it was like pulling it out of a time capsule from the 70s. Everybody had slot mags and snorkel hood scoops back then. I’ve got a lot of work to do on it, but I’ll probably be taking it to HRP, even though I’m closer to Angleton, I’m not too crazy about 1/8 tracks, but maybe I’ll change my opinion some day. I have have a set of Hooker super-comps for a Fox body with a 460, which I have mocked up, but not with the steering shaft which I expect to get in the way. Otherwise I will be looking into making a set. Does anyone know if headers made for a 460 Pinto would work? I would like to improve the weight distribution some by moving the engine back a little, but haven’t decided if I want to cut the firewall. Any moving of the engine effects where the steering shaft is going to be relative to the headers, so I’ve a got a few decisions to make.

That car is bad to the bone. I'm loving the slots also. If you do end up building headers you might try these guys out http://store.racing-solutions.org/index.html I ordered my box of goodies and can't wait to put them to good use

I also think that car is bad ass just the way it sits. It just screams, " Come Get Some!" What size wheel/tire combo is that?

I'm not liking the scoop though.
    It's a little too 70s camp.
It would have plenty of attitude and old school if it just had a Boss 429 repop scoop.
They are cool too because they bolt on.

Just curious T.L. Have you ever weighed your car nose to tail?? My car weighed in at 3400 lbs with me in the car (i'm not a small fella either),a full fuel cell ,and my car has cast iron heads. It's bias is 53% front 47% rear. My fire wall is not altered either.......I would be happy to give any help if you need Mark. Your progress looks great.
