Yes I agree as well 100% and was planned a long time ago in a galaxy far away :) yes my minds eye...

Apologize in advance for a fake pic but being a self proclaimed graphic artist I never make a move without consulting Corel first. :) It has saved me many times from some embarrassing mod's.

Just started some interior upgrades this last weekend, going black and reinstalling factory AM radio, FM converter and a 70's feel. I might be fabricating some teak veneer and vinyl door panels similar to the 69-70 boss or mach1 stangs. been trying to get a center console from same car as well but they have been a few bucks more than I'm willing to pay lately.

Here she is with chopped 500's

Now see....that's what Ford should have built....maybe with a Boss 302. If it hadn't been for those darned Mustangs!

They surely had all the parts on the shelf at the time. I would like a boss 302 in it but for now the 302 I'm building will have to do. I have a fresh set of gt40 heads that will wake it up. Block is bare and getting ready for a .030" bore, time to order pistons.

Stripping out my versailles rear shortly for new gears, trac-lok and disk brake upgrade. I'm still contemplating rear suspension design.

    Rear Blackout Completed

It has been a few weeks since last post, naturally things have been moving along and I would like to share.

    Completed List
    * passenger door interior paint and panel refurbish done (no pic yet sorry will post soon)
    * new fuel pump installed $26 bucks great investment car can now go over 60 w/o running out of gas
    * remote passenger side Mustang 2 sport mirror adjust knob mounted in door panel in respective location as factory driver side, had to cinch cable to door support so it cleared glass when moving up or down. This worked great.

and last but not least I have finished the SEM trim blackout of trunk, rear light panel and pinstripe around extensions and trunk lid to match rest of my paint schema.

As it might be obvious by now I am going with a retro factory ford performance look with my own twist on things so if you look at picture you will see I am missing a "REAR WINDOW LOUVER" to get the look I am seeking.

There I said the elusive words "Rear Window Louver" well let me just say this and I am going on record as you read this and it is now going to be public knowledge here on these forums and I will have a NEW post in the next few days explaining how I will have them on the car in a short time.

for now here is the picture that is just screaming I need some louvers ! enjoy and stay on the lookout for a new louver posting coming to a forum near you !

    Green Machine SOLD

Hello folks been awhile posting crazy times etc. Just a quick note I have sold project Green Machine to a fine young gentleman and his father as a "Father Son Project" Naturally sad to see my baby go but it is nice to see going to such a good home. Jake is a young man who is obviously into classic cars along with his dad. It is his first car and I feel honored to promote this hobby to the younger generation as we will not be around forever ourselves to keep these great cars alive.

I'm relocating in spring and have no room for the "Green Machine" I will still be lurking the boards and have intentions of buying another once settled in and things get back to normal.

I would also like to thank everyone here for all the help and wisdom in getting this project where it is today. Jake and his dad Mark are going to be fine stewards of my pride and joy and I'm sure he will be joining the forums here to keep peeps informed about the project throughout completion.

Just knowing it's going to a great home takes the sting out of selling and rest assured I will have another in due time. I will remain on the forum as I just can't get enough of watching all the good things that come from here. This is the place and always has been for anyone that loves these cars.

For now my friends take care

    Dave Fitzwater

PS she held her value well, both parties got a righteous deal and we have yet another fine steward of the cars and hobby. :thumbs2:

Please welcome them as I know you will and see you soon.

Up in northern PA, the gas well fracking business is screaming away right now from this Marcellas Shale. Tons of support jobs in the industry too. You might look into that since you have machine shop skills :tiphat:
