I have thought many times about doing the very same thing. I am inspired again to go ahead with it. I really want all of my gauges in the cluster (even if I don't particularly want to pay the price for the Autometer speedo, tach, and fuel gauges)

That is an excellent rendering. Looking forward to seeing your transformation continue. It's a great build.

Nice job on the gauges and fantastic rendering. I thought about having him do one for me but just couldnt part with the money.

I got in on one of his specials he offered up on the pro touring web site. I really found it reasonable considering the amount of work and detail he put into it. I wish I could put up a higher resolution file because the detail is amazing.

Thanks for the repley. That's what I figured. They look great and are not overly modern. Which is good I think. I hope mine will look as good. I bought Auto's Meters Americain muscle series I think they will work well. I'm not as far along with my project as you so I'm Jealous(y)

The rendering is great aswell If the rear spoiler looks that good put me down for one. How much?

I not a big fan of adding anything to a Grabber hood because what is added never seems to flow right with the original scoops

But I LIKE this hood :yahoo:

I like the hood as well, but I will not be duplicating the hood as you see it here. The guy that did the rendering just didn't quite grasp the look of the Grabber hood and took a little liberty with it's styling.

Sadly no. I have had a busy summer, sold both of my other cars. My 55 Chevy is now in New York, and my 47 Ford went to North Carolina. All that seamed to take all my attention and time. I also acquired a pro touring style 72 Camaro SS.

I have stayed the course collecting parts though. I now have both NOS door skins, I purchased a new Lokar floor shifter and floor mount e brake, New mirrors for the car came over the summer as well. Oh, and I forgot, I had Juliano's make me a three spoke wood grain steering wheel for the car. Came with a polished billet adapter and horn button.

I have a 70 Chevelle I am working on right now for someone that should be painted next month. After that car is gone I will be spending all my spare time working on the Mav. I expect to get a ton of work done this winter.

Here are a couple pictures of the new steering wheel from Juliano's. There is more dish to the wheel than it looks. I couldn't go with a full dish because the adapter adds two inches to the length of the column.

This is more of in informational update than anything else. Sadly nothing to look at. The car looks the same as before. Just finished the 70 Chevelle I was doing for someone. I got the garage cleaned and things put back where they belong. I have some detail cleaning to do to the Camaro before I can get back on the Maverick. I will be showing the Camaro in two different indoor shows this winter, so I need to get it ready for them. Then I can move it to my other garage and get focused on the Mav again.

I just ordered the wheels and tires for it. I got exactly what I wanted. They are pictured in the rendering. 17x7 front and 18x8 rear Billet Specilties Vintec Dish rims mounted on BFG tires. Package deal found online, they come mounted, balanced and with lugs. Ready to bolt on.

I have also acquired NOS door skins, both sides. I plan to cut off the old ones and then sand blast the shells. Then I will epoxy them and then install the new skins. With this repair it will be like having brand new doors!

I know there are other things I have done/purchased for the car, but right now I am drawing a blank.

Stay tuned over the next few months for progress pictures........

I did get the driver side from them. It was in great shape, and at a good price. The passenger side came out of Canada last year.
