I'm right across the river in West Suffield. Not too far off of the lake.

I believe those are Billet Specialties. I can check and verify next time I am out in the shop.

So today was an incredible day for me. After all these years of working away on the car I was able to, with the help of my wife, hang all the sheet metal parts. After that I bolted the taillights, fuel filler, grille and headlight bezels on. I did all this to make sure everything still fit as I had planned. It is amazing that no matter how many times you assemble and test fit it all when in primer, the second you take it apart for paint, boom, it does'y fit right anymore.

I am happy to report that other than a couple extremely minor tweaks everything still looks great!

The first, and my most cherished picture is my daughters reaction to seeing it outside when she got home from horseback riding today. I already had it outside, the kid was bouncing in her seat as they came up the driveway. It was priceless. Good thing I have a year and a half before she gets her drivers license. I get to use it for a little while before turning it over to her.

After that, I was able to get some pictures of it when the sun was shining........

I put the dash back in as well as I will need it to line up the stripes when I put the car back in the booth for the hood stripes. Also, this is the console I will be using, but recovering in black.

Don't know if the plate is a better description of the car or her!!

After seeing the car outside I have decided to black out the front of the radiator support. Too much blue showing through for me. Also, the headlight bezels will get painted black.

There are just no words to describe what you have created, so many little things that dont really stand out until you get to really looking. I agree with blacking out the radiator support, are you going with an aluminum radiator ? if so are you going to black it out also. Great stance

If Ford could see this car and what the Maverick could be, maybe they wouldn't have built them so cheaply. Cars like this are why the Mavericks and Comets are making a comeback.

Maybe next time I'm up that way I'll have to stop by and see your artwork. My sister-in-law lives over there.

Car looks Great!! One of my favorites of all times. One idea you may or may not like is to paint the argent part of the headlight doors body color. I did this to my 77 I built years ago and loved the look.

Like the looks of the head light bezels painted that way. Something different than the norm. Wont help much on a car that is black and silver though but on my blue car hmmm. Thanks for sharing that Dennis

Funny you should post that. I had someone else suggest the same thing on another forum. I really like it, especially after seeing yours. Thank you for the visual.

I built that maverick back in 1999. I wish I would have hung onto it. Sold it to a friend of mine back in MD.

Having fits with photo bucket, so this is the best I can do for today.

I have done a lot of little things that just don't show. Working on the plumbing of fuel and brakes now. Spent today installing sound deadener in the entire interior. Very time consuming, but will be worth it in the end.

Also, a couple weeks ago I took my engine to the dyno. I was curious what it would do, but frankly the bigger reason was to get it all dialed in before installing it in the car. This way, had there been any problems it could have been addressed ahead of time.

Very pleased with how it ran, this was my first complete engine build. So my basicly stock bottom end 89 5.0 engine with an E303 cam, GT40P heads and Edelbrock RPM intake and carb ran best of 339hp @ 5600rpm and torque was 354 @ 4500rpm. I have a video of it running and will post when i can through photo bucket.
