I was just thinking. Most of us on here are very familiar with the Gapp & Roush history, and this particular car. What about the non-car folks? If it hasn't happened already, at some point in time, someone will be looking for the Gapp & Roush taxi service in the yellow pages.
Very nice work on the TAXI. Among some of the most creative talent I have seen on this forum; I consider you in that category. There's only one minor thing I see that bothers me in post 123 "the plastic fuel filter". I had one rupture on me abt 3 mos. ago - lucky I was not on the highway. I ain't ashame to say; I had bn advised by folks on this forum and at some cruises to ditch the filter. The funny thing is, I had bought 2 filters to replace it, they were in my garage. I had that filter on the car maybe 18mos. I was lucky I was abt a mile frm home but still had to have the car towed home. I guess I got what I deserved for being lazy. No more plastic filters for me...
Everett, I had a glass one on my car for a while, when it broke and caught the engine on fire, in the driveway! The glass didn't bread, the end of the filter came apart, and leaked gas all over, while the engine was running. Hagerty made me whole again, but it still was unnerving.
WOW! That is soooo bad a$$!! But what about the Ford short box in the background?? When is its turn???
Since Gapp&Roush used the car for only the 75 race season...............yes. The NHRA rules changed after they won so many races during the 75 season, hence the reason they only used it for one race season. I believe the original was destroyed but thought that Roush and his daughter built or started to build another for exhibition races.
