jeez you guys have it easy. Here in arkansas, it is much easier to have teeth pulled at home, with pliers and no pain killers...than it is to get a title for a car!

They didnt for any of our 3 old cars when we moved here from FL. Even though all of them had a FL title. They just give you the registration and the tag and thats it.

Nah, nevermind. Just made a deal on a factory 302 '72 Grabber. Gonna clean it up and use as a daily driver while I work on the '69.5. Then part it out and use the parts in the '69.5 (bucket seats, grabber spoiler, grabber grille, ect) and my brother's '73(drivetrain and V8 swap parts, wheels, tail lights, and other misc pieces).

Not so bad anymore. I talked to the head honcho in charge of titles in the state or arkansas a year ago. If I can get a bill of sale from Terry (guy i got the car with, not hawkco) then I can get a title.
He knows that Terry never registed the car, but sinces its 25+ years old I can get a title for it w/ a bill of sale.

If you don't mind my asking, what are you paying for it?

What I think is a fair price, considering the parts the car has.

Thats right. IN Bama they won't issue a title on anything older than 1975 even if it came from a state that had a title on it. They will issue a tag on just a bill of sale, in most counties it doesn't even have to be notarazied. I've written bill of sales out on a piece of paper sack and they accepted them. Now anything after 1975 is a pain in the butt, you have to have a valid title, any erasure or marking out voids a title, then you have to go to a lawyer and get it recertified as valid. A buddy of mine just went through this, the seller signed the title in the wrong place and they wouldn't accept it. Had to go with the seller to a lawyer and get him to draw up a paper saying that he was in fact the seller.

Did they take the FL titles or did you keep them?
