Racing Seats . . .

    I've got the Kirkey economy drags in my car. I will admit that they are not as comfortable as the regular drag seats. But I'm not planning on being behind the wheel for more than a half hour at a stretch. And you have to keep in mind that they will not tilt or fold or anything else. However they are mounted, that is how they will always be until you remount them.

    I guess they are, I mean when I am driving the car I don't even think about the seats, so that must mean their not uncomfortable :D
    and yes, I go the seats with both materials. Its nice when you set on a hot day, you don't get burned :oops:

    hey anyone got a picture with those seats in the car looking from the outside in? trying to see how high that headrest sits.

    so I got it narrowed down to the kirkey or this one from summit . . . .

    mo i think i have some pics of mine and they are pro car by scat i got from summit.im very pleased with them and they were not to bad mounting either just had to make some l brackets to mount them to the floor.

    they actually look pretty nice! not as big as I thought they would look in there. Yea, I'm curious how you mounted it to the floor. If you have any pics please post them. That's right about how far I would put them away from the steering wheel. great job!

    Homermav I am looking at those seats as well Shoot me a PM or make a post after you get some seat time!!!!


    I put some Rally seats from Procar in my dads Cougar great seats and got good lumbar support....great for guys like me that have bad backs!!!!

    I like these as they have the race feel with old car styling a resto-mod seat if ever there was one!!!!

    i have been riding on them all summer and i love them.at the track they are awsome they feel like im being well supported.

    and in the link if you look. there is 3 choices for mounting holes on the tracks. Looks like HOMERMAV used the middle hole. I used the top hole which mounted the seat as low as possible.

    i also had to make a new hole in the slider on the rear inside bracket close to the tunnel.

    Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
