radiator cap?????

    for what it's worth, I just replaced the stant relase cap with a stock non-release type.....reason was the rubber inside the cap deteriorated and was letting the cap leak when hot.....that being said, this is a 30 yr old car and I have no idea when the stant cap was put on....I would think a 10 year old cap has served it's purpose well......just my OPINION....ha, ha....Robert:p

    OK, here's my opinion. The lever caps and the octagonal caps look like crap, leaky or not. You can get the original style repro from any Mustang house for a reasonable price and they look way better. And it is possible to remove the non-release type without scalding yourself. And yes, I am an ASE certified Master Technician! (At least I was 15 years ago!)
