big freakin' grin... that Mad Max thing you got going is so kewl. What does the interior look like? Tell me you have a big red button mounted somewhere in the inside... even if it's just a prop.

I think that MORE THAN A FEW of us are interested in some more pics... the next topic of 'water' concern will be how much water those SIDEPIPES collect and you absolutely must get a picture of the geyser of water that shoots out of them when you first fire it up after a blizzard/rainstorm.

:D Ohhhh... i have an unhealthy relationship with buttons, switches, levers of all kinds. I have to exercise restraint when doing the interior of a car to keep it from looking like mission control, lol, because if I just did whatever occured to me I'd have illuminated aircraft type switches for everything.

a switch for the line lock
    one for the ignition
    a momentary for the starter
    one for the lights
one each for the fuel pumps
    one for the water injection
    a stepped one for wipers
one for the electric oil cooler fan
one for the electric trans cooler fan
one for the red overhead light that makes it look like the interior of a submarine when on

I'd probably have one each for the frickin turn signals if I allowed my goofyness free reign. :bouncy:

Hell- I don't care, I'd probably install a bunch of illuminated dummy switches overhead just because it looks so neat (to me anyway) to flip them up during 'pre-flight' launch prep. I don't care what people think of me- I indulge in my fantasy worl whenever possible (which means whenever my wife lets me go out and play) lmfao

Here is a pic of the shifter... its a winters rock crawler gated model... i adapted it with custom linkages to reliably bang through the art caar c4 in the car. The c4 is a full manual reverse valve body, which is nice for racing and a hassle on the street unless you're me and your dementia prevents you from being reasonable. :D

The remainder of the interior (aluminum sheet metal panels and gauges and the tank for the water injection) are out because I am doing some floor work in anticipation of rhino lining the floor, lol. If anyone wants, just email me and I will send you the pics directly because the forum will not let me include any more....heh heh

lastly (loooong post) here is the link to myspace...*WARNING* some of the material therein is of questionable taste, careful who is over your shoulder when clicking on some of the vids. And if you click the link VIDS beneath my avatar there, there is a clip of us dialing in the fuel injection computer by doing some half-a*sed launches. Not so hot, but i was actually really happy to find out after the fact that in went as well as it did considering we had only 2 of 4 injectors working... and the blower was making ZERO boost because of a bad gaskett, LOL. Apologies for the shoddy camera job.

**Edited: a quick note about the rear pic below- I included it to shop the home made wheel tub job and the fuel cell mount in the trunk...also for fun- check out the crumpled sheet metal. This grabber was in a NASTY accident in the 70's!!**

Perfect. (y) "Rat rod" is not really the word for this car. I don't know what this is. But it makes me want to start working on another vehicle.
