the look on the lady in the picture says it all ???(*&()*&^(*&%(*^%%TYUT*&H(&%^&$%^$%?? lol looks pretty cool. i was thinking of doing a rod myself... just need to find the right canvas
Here's some pics of mine Mo, 36 Dodge cab on mid 80's Toyota pickup frame. I plan on a 302 C4 for power, with a Mav 8" rear to replace the Toyota rear. Will probably use Corvette bucket seats, not sure about the steering column yet. Waiting on it to cool down a bit here before I start mocking up the motor and tranny, then I can hang the pedals and do the floor.
Wow, I thought I was the only one with a Toyota frame. I had problems with mounting my 302 in the frame, wound up with a fox body oil pan, then the trans hits on the torsion bar crossmember. You may have a better time with your pickup, I tried to get the grill as far back as I could on my sedan, which caused some of my problems. That concludes my thread hijack.
got the steering off finally needed to remove the headers quality work here bolts that were used to hold the body to the frame some of the welding inside the cab that was done by PO I removed the wiring and had the guys at the shop help me lift the cab off the frame, we just kind of rolled it, worked great I can't get this pin out, is there a trick?
So we made a list of things that need to be done, I want to do it as cheap and as much from recycled parts as possible. We are gonna start with rebuilding the tranny (turbo 350), needs a TQ also. Brakes for the front and rear, ranger diff in the back, don't know what spindles are in the front. Have to figure out the head lights Need master cylinder and pedal Harness for turn signal and brake light (might try a trailer light set) Idiot light for oil, voltage, water temp
I could use some suggestions on how to do my lighting on this truck. these are the headlight housings that are in place. I want to do something really simple, no intention of buying expensive parts to make this work.
I got a pair of buckets with sealed beams brand new for $40 after walking past several over priced pairs of Guides at the swapmeet. They will fit your stands. Speedway sells them as dietz lights PN:911-01008 May be cheaper than trying to find the parts to fix the ones you have.
