Thanks! Yeah, I believe the console version of the Quicksilver has a shorter throw than the universal one to begin with, plus the trim plate on mine is mounted a bit higher than usual. I'm going for "understated" here. Not trying to keep the interior looking stock, obviously, but I am trying to avoid the race car look to a degree. (Small tach, no visible toggles, plain shifter ball, no accordion boot, etc.) So I mounted the shifter as low as I could and did my best to make it look like it's supposed to be there. I guess I'm aiming for more of a "GT" than a drag race type theme with the car.

The reason it's positioned where it is would mostly be because that's where my hand feels most natural when the lever is pulled down into "ratchet mode." Also I wanted to avoid having to modify my console much more than I already did.

And the cable does clear, barely. I had to elongate the first hole I drilled, and getting it up and around the trans was more of a challenge than I thought it'd be. But I got it there, with no tight bends or crazy angles. Five feet was just enough. I am very glad y'all talked me out of the 4 ft cable, because I would've tried to make that sucker work and ruined it in the process.

It DOES give it that "GT" look. I had'nt thought of it that way.
You might want to peek under the car at some point to make sure the cable isn't coming off or it has'nt moved towards the exhaust. I shoulda done that. Mine moved and it burned against the header AND the end had come loose at the trans. Good to check this once and a while..
