Mainly the rear valance and lower rear quarters, and anything else I happen to think of. The car is now garaged for the winter, so dry-time is not an issue.

I had some mixed up in lacquer back in '91, and color-wise, it was perfect. It was not a rattle can though. I used it on the Grabber hood and duck-tail. The lacquer was not glossy, and faded very quickly, which was exactly what I wanted so that it would blend better with the old paint on the rest of the car. The average person has no idea that the hood did not come originally on the car. It "faded in" very well.

Actually, I never mentioned a word about this site. Guess they already knew about it...

    Hi Dan,

Yep, that's one of the most difficult parts of using spray cans. As the product is used the volume inside the can drops and reduces the pressure you have to spray with. Kind of like when you use a regular paint gun and forget to turn the air compressor on.
I've experimented some with filling the cans. If we fill them anymore than what we do now they spray like a squirt bottle at first.

I keep an eye on the forums as I'm interested in what people are saying about our product. I searched for this one because we recieved a couple orders and some inquiries for Mav/Comet paint. It was just too coincidental.

    Thanks for the good words!

    Larry

Looks great Dan!! Love that color!! It looks like the right front edge of the hood is not lined up with the fender.

Yeah ... when the front lip was welded on it looks like the driver side was done perfectly ... but the passenger side is slightly at the wrong angle to line up with the fender ... You aren't supposed to notice that! :)

Dan; my hood is still original, and it doesn't line up on the passenger side either. No amount of adjustments will make it work. I think lots of them were that way. '70's quality, don't ya know.

Hey Dan, been very busy with work and life in general. Still have the Mav. and no time to work on it. Maybe I should just sell it ??? Mine STILL has the black Grabber hood!(was this a GA trend?). Almost rented a 3 bay 30' x 60' shop with spray booth last week. I guess I thought about it too long tho. Never would have beleived that was from a can!!
