Those bolts should be 3/8 with 16 grade thread about 1-1.5 inches long.

Welp, that sucks. All bolts are there, so's I tightened 'em up as best I could, which frankly, I couldn't. They were as tight as could be and any time I felt that I was about to make progress, the whole crankshaft turned.

So. Anything else I should try? I've already got my nice new work shirt dirty.

Let me tell you what I can wiggle.

Coming out of the crankshaft there's two seperate pulleys. One operates the radiator fan and the alternator. The other turns the power steering pump. The rearward pulley (closest to the block) can be wiggled by hand -- which is why I'm doubting this is a crankshaft issue.

Keep the suggestions coming, and thanks to all you guys.

    It's a 250.

The rear pulley is 1 piece with 2 grooves, but there's another pulley, one-piece, to the power steering pump.

Take the pulleys off and inspect them...

I've not been looking forward to that, but it is looking like I'm going to have to. I'll do it when I have sunlight tomorrow.

Nah, security guards got here a couple hours ago and don't let you work on cars.

Maybe I'll go do it. Anything in particular I should look for? Will that center bolt allow me to pull the whole thing, or will I need to pull all of the bolts?
