AWESOME!!!! That is beautiful work, I like!!! Now that the towers are gone, why not use a different hood hinge? Like maybe from a 67 Mustang? They have springs to keep the hood up, no more prop rod!!

Thought about that. My concern with those is that the built in spring or shock might be too strong for the 'glass hood. I have seen guys try that and damage the hood trying to shut it. Not worth that risk to me. If I had a steel hood I would in a second.

I think I would add a piece of steel along the inside hood edge to reinforce the hood, then glass over the edge and paint it.

I think I'd rather have the Total Control Products front suspension.

I thought they had a rack that you could buy separately.

Not model specific to the maverick/comet.

I'd like to hear how well the car goes down the road, like at highway speeds or faster. Any wandering or sloppyness?

UniSteer sells the bolt in R&P for the mav/comets

...But mod for mod..everything being equivalent stock modified is stupid priced vs m2 conversion

m2 conversion.really needs better supplied spindles (Wilwood pro)and fatter front swaybar
the supplied coil overs arnt the greatest either ..
Viking performance is the better made hybrid coilover compared.to the qa1.
ridetech and JRI make about the best true coil overs now adays

Yeah, I was considering the UniSteer but for 900 or so more I could upgrade the entire suspension etc... so... It hard to say no to the MII. Now whether or not one can upgrade some of the components of the MII is a serious question. Better spindles, coilovers, etc.

I keep meaning to send mine in to have them fit the analog pods with all the gauges. How long was your turn around? And was it difficult to make the upgrade in the car? (speedo cable and wiring)
