    Resurrecting an old thread because it seems appropriate. For those who have done it, I have a few questions:

    Is it miserable to cut the towers out if I don’t have a plasma? I saw on the RRS tutorial that they drilled out each spot weld. Is that the best way to go or just cutting where the tower starts to come out from the wall of the bay?
    Is it necessary to pull the steering column from inside the car?
    Do other brackets such as the factory sway bar need to be cut off?

    My tool of preference would be the angle grinder with a cutoff wheel. Next would be a spot weld cutter. I bought the one on the left and used it but it will wander and is fussy to use. My brother bought the one on the right from Summit, it is a good tool, works like a champ.

    mine were just cut where the tower starts to come out from the wall of the bay. that way the flange that was spot welded on was left to reinforce the opening. my filler panels are bolted on for ease of access to the starter/plugs
    mine was cut with a plasma cutter. you can see them in the second pic in post #4.
