Hey guys, so I am looking to upgrade my rear brakes to discs and i need some advice. I am going with the mustang steve front 2014 mustang gt brackets and was going to do the cobra rear brakes, but the calipers and rotors are just too expensive for the rear. I have the front calipers and rotors with all the lines, I am going with a manual disc-disc wilwood master cylinder. I thought about swapping my 8 inch rear for a 8.8 but I personally like the design of the ford 8 and 9 inch a lot more, easier to work on in my opinion. I also believe that some projects are simply not worth the effort, nor payout, so if I swap rears I will probably go for a 9". So I can easily get a small bearing single piston caliper kit from summit for under $350, but then I have to order weird pads and rotors in the future. Anyone know of any other options for an 8" that would use OEM Ford parts?

I have about $50 invested in my '96 Grand Marquis rear disc. Easy mod with a 8 or 9 inch

Any modifications required or weird wheel backspacing?

Maverick rearend...Maverick wheels. Backspacing stayed the same. I did have to use the Grand Marquis/Crown Vic hard line fittings on the Maverick's brake line for the caliper's flex hose to screw to. Also cut the bottom of the axle flange so the caliper bracket would fit flush with the axle flange. See http://mmb.maverick.to/threads/rear-disc-brakes.85043/

    I used my Factory disc/drum 15/16" Master
