Is that your VIN number on the body buck tag?

I love these sleuth stories! Keep em coming. We will have a concours following soon!

So, would the license plate bracket on a big bumper car be the place a rotation number was written? Doesn't matter to me, my big bumpers are gone, just curious. When I restored mine, suspension parts are the only place that I found any markings, paint, chalk etc.

Craig ... being the nice guy that I am I'll help out with your concourse venture ...

    Go to this site http://www.autobodysupplies.com/12_Fasteners2005.pdf

In the PDF find part number 380934-S Size 8-18 1/2" Black Phospate.

This is the EXACT part # Ford lists in the 1971 Assembly Manual I have ...

Seth....I have found them written on the front core support..just in front of the battery on the outside of the car.

Could someone post a pic of VIEW A from that blowup picture but on a real car? My valence is from another car and I just have a sheet metal screw holding it in at the bottom. I figured I would fiberglass it on to the fender in the end, and make a smooth transition. But I heard there was supposed to be a mounting tab on the inside. I might need to fab one.
