Does anyone know of a source for the cover that goes over the bolts that mount the latch on the tip out rear windows? The original part number was D0DZ-6230584-B.

I actually found an NOS D0DZ-B and then was able to find four D0DZ-A pieces. What is odd is that the A parts are shorter than the B parts and don't cover the entire recessed part of the latch, even though the master parts catalog shows that the same part number is listed for the latch itself all the way from 1970 to 1977. Any ideas?
That is interesting - I didn't think the latch has changed, but it might be another early '70 (the 69.5's) thing.
The early latch was metal which was 69.5/70s. The 71 latch was plastic. The metal latch used the smaller cover and the plastic one the larger one. I think I have both I can take a photo of.
Picture would be interesting. I just checked my June '70 built 1970 with a magnet - looks like it has plastic quarter window latches the same as my '72 has. It does have the early metal rear package tray trim. This must have been around the time changes were in progress.
I would like to see pictures as I have never seen the smaller latches. I have also never owned or parted out a 1969.5
I haven’t gotten a chance to find a set of the metal latches yet. They are at my other storage area. Here is a photo of the inserts. The early one is the smaller one.
I have never seen that size latch. Very interesting to see if the early 69.5 car owners have this size Thanks for posting the picture!
No problem at all. I’ll post some side by side photos in a week or so when I get over there. The latches are made of pot metal. I was surprised first time I saw them.
