It's a movie stunt. The window was probably candy glass, and there were matresses inside the "store" to drive into. The producers have to protect the stunt driver, if not the car, but the chances are the car is ok too. They may have had to shoot multiple takes to get it to look right.

All I know is last time I went to my grandma's in Indianapolis, there were "you gotta eat" commercials on, exact same commericals as Checkers except they said Rally's. Then I saw a Rally's up there and it looks identical to checkers. :)

When I was up in Rockford, Illinois they had some sort of restraunts up there that also looked like Checkers except the sign and all the neon lights were blue instead of red. Can't remember now what they were called, but I expect it's another form of Checkers.

I have a couple of friends that work at Checkers, so I just kinda pay attention to stuff like that. When I pull up to the drive through at Checkers it ain't "May I take your order" it's "Hey Jamie, what do ya want, hows the Mav?" :)

What really throws me off is Checkers is an auto parts store out west. Several times guys on here talk about buying parts from Checkers and I've had to stop for a minute before I realized it's not a fast food restraunt over there. ;)
