Unfortuneately for us Maverick Heater Hose Grommets were unique to our cars ... (kinda like the Windshield washer arm grommet). I tried some Breather Grommets and found a size that was a perfect fit!

I remember a post awhile back about these parts. Someone said a 50 something Chevy truck has the same thing. Since everything is reproduced for GM it might be out there somewhere. My car was already done so I never looked for them.

    Mine does not have them...

..my core sticks through the firewall. There was a large
piece of foam rubber on the end of the core that fits
against the firewall on the inside and forms a tight seal.

Were they different depending on the year?

Heater core nipples on factory air cars stick through the firewall. On non factory air, they do not. The hose connects on the inside of the car. Its more fun this way.

    Ohh....

    ..glad I have A/C!

That seems kind of dumb from an engineering
standpoint, but I am not shocked.
