hey hottie-- the rear end was from a 77 not a 73. and i didn't think your rear was saggy at all. you're too young for that. ha ha.
as for the rolled lip problem i can show you how to do it without damaging the paint. i did it on mine after it was painted.if you want just call and i can explain it to you. it's not that hard you just have to go SLOW.
as for the shocks i have used both air shocks and kyb's. some people prefer one over the other but i don't have an opinion yet.
the only thing to watch with your tires is to get the correct backspacing depending on the wheel tire combo you pick. like mine i have 275/60/15 and need 4 1/2" backspace to keep the tires from rubbing. it all depends on the wheels you pick.
how did the paint turn out? i know it has taken awhile to get it painted.

and you also need to remember every car is different on rear end, because on my car 4 1/2 back space rubs with a smaller 255/60r15 tire.

    oh boy

okay so it has been a bit since i have checked in, and i wish i would have sooner! so far i have the shocks on and the little bit i did get to drive it was STIFF. for now it will work as long as i have duct tape and a sports bra . the website someone sent me to helped me look at the backspacing, not sure what i need exactly just yet. i have a set from a friend that i am going to stick on and drive around to see if they rub before i call billet specialties. jason i will give you a call if i need that rolled, i found a nice roller in one of my mags for about $250 so i think the old baseball bat sounds more my style. i need all the help i can get though!

When I first got my car done and took it for its first ride the first set of railroad tracks I went over I heard a sound that would make anyone cry... I was rubbing the quarters:cry:

I took my springs off and took them to a local spring shop here in town and had them re arch them and add a leaf........They looked great and was very happy and they told me that they would settle out with a little bit of driving. It ended up raising the back of the car almost 2 inches and almost 10 years later it hasn't settled out:huh: So if I had my choice and was going to do it again I think I would buy a new set and go from there....... And like John said it did stiffin up the ride but I dont think it was to much

    Not the best pic

Thanks...I will be getting some new ones when I have the money and the car together. I will probobly run shackles for a bit though. It will bother me seeing them hang down back there (the shackles) and I know it will put a fire under my azz.:drive:

i think that i figured it out, some of these are the old paint that everyone insisted was purple (deprived of crayon multi-packs) and the new that needs to be finished for the turkey run. hope they can be seen....:woohoo1:
