    No it is massive. I wanted to be able to run it up one side of the firewall and then across and down the engine middle. If it ends up being way to long, I have a lot i can cut from the distributor side.

    Harnesses running across engines are not a good thing. Where do you plan to mount the module and coil? My coil and module are mounted on the inner fender next to the windshield washer tank. Therefore the harness, module and coil are away from engine heat.

    the module I was going to mount exactly where you have yours. I was just going to put the coil back on the top of the engine where it was because my tail for the coil cap is very short. I know the ignition module cant get hot, but is it a big deal to put the coil on top of the engine like it was before? I could always take the T splice out of the tail and put he coil cap at elsewhere.

    You can place the coil as you wish, I'm of the belief the more wires and other assorted items that can be eliminated from the engine assembly the better.

    Right where your coil is mounted is where my heater hoses run. The hoses go straight back and into the firewall as opposed to winding around the valve covers. I have a 1" carburetor spacer which provides additional area for the hoses.

    Depending on which carburetor you choose if it has a passenger side fuel inlet like a Holley, Demon or Summit the fuel feeds and possible filter will also want to claim that space.

    Your videos were very good. However I have to say episode 17 was PURE GOLD! It was one of the most amazing things I have seen on youtube.

    I will admit it took me way longer to figure out where this goes then it should have. I thought it went on the very tail where I took off the big L bracket mount from the truck. NOPE. For future searchers...it goes 3/4 of the way toward the tail. Right where the tranny gets skinny.

    Ok I mounted the Coil up front instead of in the middle. Then the wire can go either over to fender then up to fire wall, or vice versa...

    Better!

    Have you replaced or plan to replace any part of your fuel line that is rubber; that includes at the fuel tank and under the car just below the driver's door?

    If you plan on installing a fuel filter, the one shown using the following link is what I prefer:

    Note the location of the coil, fuel filter and heater hoses in the following two pictures. Nice and clean with the coil and module away from engine heat.

    You did a great job of cleaning up that engine!!!! :thumbs2:

    I was going to replace the rubber at the carb. The rubber at the tank I replaced about 10yrs ago. I didn't know about that under the drivers. I'll take a look when I'm under there.

    I agree w/ Hotrock on filter choice. Stay away from PLASTIC filters; had one the nipples deformed, spraying fuel all over engine bay - left me stranded. Fortunate for me I was not on the highway, in the middle of nowhere. Had to get recovery vehicle to get home. Ironically, I had a metal and glass filter hanging in my garage for over a year -- going to get around to changing out plastic. Being lazy, got me in trouble -- installed metal unit no issues since.

    Removing the drive shaft. Is all I have to do is remove the two U bolts on the part below? Is this on the rear end of the drive shaft or on the tranny end?

    Yes, that is all you need to do! You may want to wrap the U-Joint cups to keep them from falling off too and carefully slide the shaft into the tranny enough so driveshaft is clear of the rear end yoke. Then slide the driveshaft out of the tranny, might want to have a rag to catch any fluid coming out of the transmission and not to damage the polished yoke.
