is this Maverick specific? Everything Im finding is for a Muastang / Torino / Ranchero Never mind. Found one https://www.summitracing.com/oh/par...tions/make/ford/model/maverick/engine-type/v8
are there two cross members (not counting the transmission one) on the V8 Maverick? I have one like this one that goes up front. But is there another one I'm supposed to have back near the motor mounts, under the shock towers?
Thanks. I think I was getting it confused with the front sway as I read it should be upgraded in size when going V8.
I would upgrade it regardless for the improvement in handling. For as long as I have had mine I have never actually driven a Maverick but I'm sure they are very ill handling compared to even the worst new car. I know my Torinos and even my GTOs were poor handling cars, they rolled in corners and wallowed down the road. Comfortable but not confidence inspiring!
ou don’t have to but it certainly helps. There was a factory 7/8” bar but those are hard to find. Otherwise there is an aftermarket option. It does help with handling. I have a factory bar on my car and Love it.
I just finished my 70 302 conversion. Check me on youtube on the video series ive done on my car called Project Woooo! It covers a lot and also the engine swap with trans.
Nice work. Your harness is very long. I don't recall the donor harness for my Comet as being that long. I installed it years ago. Memories can fade.
Assuming you are using a module with blue grommet, diagram is incorrect... Coil fed should connect to opposite end of resistance wire. Coil is fed by resistor, in present configuration resistor has no purpose. Resistor is bypassed during cranking by voltage fed from I terminal on solenoid.
thanks for the catch. I was re-using the wire feed for the coil, so it would have worked. But the drawing needs to be right incase someone else in the future reads this thread, which is one of the reasons I made this thread.
