    Good afternoon,
I was just curious if anyone else feels as if the rooftops aren't that thick and it seems like if you went through a rough carwash it would definitely dent or do some warping to it. Has anyone else had this issue, how did you address it? One of my buddies mentioned possibly doing a thin layer of fiberglass but don't wanna warp it.

Fiberglass will do nothing to strengthen a roof.

Unless the automatic car wash is defective, I see no way it would dent a roof. Personally...I would never take a Maverick thru an automatic car wash.

Most car washes here won't let a person take a classic thru their wash . Just because it might cause damage . I once took a 68 Mustang thru and was I sorry .It broke the antenna and ripped one of the emblems off .

I would not say the maverick roof is “strong” but by no means it is flimsy. It takes a decent amount of force to dent the roof. I would not worry about it too much unless you go through a hail storm or decide to dance on your roof. Also putting fiberglass on a roof is a terrible idea. Metal and fiberglass have different rates of expansion and contractions and it will warp and crack.
