Price must vary from shop to shop and part to part.

Most i've seen, whether they were put in the side or the top of the counterweight, were welded in.........that thing spins pretty darn fast!!!!

Hey Rick, refresh my memory, is all this going in a stock block??

Hey ! Hey!...lets don't even go there:tsk: ...that stuff weighs so much it would wipe EVERYTHING inside that block out if not the block too.:49:

Stephen it's going in the 408, which is an Ford 351W SVO, 4 bolt inner mains, siamese bore block.
The crank is drilled and reamed and mallory pressed in, according to the shop it works better than brazing 2 dissimilar metals and risking a fracture. He said they've been pressing them in for 10 years now to his knowledge have never lost one... he couldn't say that for brazing.

I could have saved some confusion by saying off the bat this was a neutral balance assembly.

The pics were taken after the balance, they need the total weight of the rod and piston assembly to get a bobweight.

I'll get the spec sheet that came from Comp on the cam, off the top of my head I'd say it's gonna be pretty grumpy, 750+ hp at the crank and 7400 rpm's on the top end.
Flow numbers on the heads ended up being 355/280 cfm. We had to have the flow numbers before Comp could build a cam

The goal is to propel a tube chassis Mav or Comet to under 6 seconds in the 1/8th....naturally aspirated :16suspect

Derrick the rods and bolts were around 650, with your connections you should pay around the same or maybe a little less, you don't even want to think about paying retail

The crank is an Eagle 4340, special order from Keith Craft because it's knifedged, retail expect to pay 850 with shipping, I paid 675.

Total cost so far from pan to carb and balancer to flywheel with machining is pushing 8500. this doesn't include assembly, electronics or the headers that will have to be custom made.

Finally got the specs, Comp cams custom grind, 275/275 i/e and 629 GVL, power band 2600-7800 rpms.

We are making some progress...notice the Pro Magnum rocker on No. 1 cylinder, the pushrod hits the backside of the rocker fulcrum at TDC, hence the Crane Gold rocker laying in the lifter valley, it clears fine.

Stephen there TFS Twisted Wedge "R" series heads, they were ported and polished by hand and flow tested, numbers ended up 355i/295e cfm's, note the offset on the number 7 piston cut...dead giveaway it's a twisted wedge head.
