Must be nice to have all that extra space in the engine compartment. Lookin' good.

I'm gonna push the button on it Wednesday night hopefully, I found out that you can't run open headers at sanctioned tracks after the first of the year, we put some dynomax ultra-flow bullets on it this evening.
I don't see how they would make it quiet, there wide open from one end to the other with very small holes on the inner wall, I'm baffled :hmmm: :D

    aw, bad pun...

seriously, keep us up to date.

We're in the same boat with my cousin's Fairlane. They don't require mufflers yet, but we need to be ready. Looking at Purple Hornies, but apparently no one we've talked to has ever heard of them...

I'm trying to make that SVO vs. Dart vs. World vs. Sportsman block decision....Your feedback is well taken...

They work. Got them on Dad's 512" Thunderbird. They sound great too.

Based on head flow we are estimating 720-740 hp, at this point that's all we have to go on, I'll have a much better idea after we get some ET's.
4 different builders will give 4 different opinions on blocks.
In side by side comparison the SVO has more " meat" on the bottom end than the Dart, but on the topend the Dart can supposedly be bored as much as 180 over, I don't think you can do that with a SVO block.
I went with the strength on the bottom end because of the compression we are running.
