Thanks! Grind and sand it all down to bare metal, spray on the metal etch, then just brush it on. You have to wear breathing protection though. It is pretty rough stuff.

I don't know of anywhere to buy it in stores. I got mine from their official eBay store. They have deals on there from time to time.

They have it at my local Sears. 65.00 or so per quart.

Make sure you get the automotive formula. It's supposed to be a little thinner and easier to brush on.

Thanks for the heads up. I need to stop by my Sears and see. I need another quart or two to do all the underside of my Maverick. What section was it in?

I thinned it just a little according to the directions on the can then used a cheap spray gun it sprayed on easily

Came across the following Tech article from a Ford Explorer Forum. I had googled Rust Bullet and it came up.
It's a head to head test with Eastwood Rust Encapsulator, POR and Rust Bullet. Unfortunately it is from 2005 and I'm sure there may have been changes in the formulations since then.

    It is at http://drjing.com/Mini/BLOG/SideBySide.htm

I'd like to see a more up to date type of test. Who knows, I might have time to do one. What are your comments or suggestions regarding a better test?

By the way, POR won with Rust Bullet coming up second.

I'm not surprised Eastwood came in last. Their products are crap.

I don't know about PORs prep vs Bullet, but I think I recall someone saying that PORs prep is a little more lengthy.

Yeah, but your car hasn't left the garage in 10 years, LOL.
