Since this thread is already gone way awry...

There was a T/A (Smokey and Bandit type) on eBay a while back with a 351c.
It was pretty hacked, but fun to ponder.

Make sure that the valve covers say General Motors on it but put a 302 sticker on the air filter housing....

That way when you take it to car shows then all the guys can say that was the chevy 302 in the 69 camaro and it was race prepped thats why the distributor is in the front. Then you can listen that either them or their buddy in high school had one just like it that would kill all the Fords.....:biglaugh::rofl2:

So for sure the crate will be pricey... I just mentioned 'em to present a comparison. If you were to go to a junk yard and snag an LS2 out of a junked Chevy, you'd probably pay at most around six hundred. Grab a camshaft and headers for another five hundred or so, and you're looking at 400 horsies for a little over a grand. I just can't see that being beat with a stroker 347, which is the point I was making earlier... course fab work cost money but I bent all my own fuel lines, did my own wiring, and fit in generic radiator/cooling parts with custom brackets on my current Mav :thumbs2:

I'm way excited to figure out when I can start this project. I keep mentioning it to my Dad and all he does is give me a dirty look :rofl2:
