Agreed, it looks nice on a small bumper car.

I thought it was a nice, straight car until I took a closer look at it and noticed the hood and quarter panel damage. Typical cracked dash pad as well. There are a couple more photos on my Flickr if wanted. Link's in my sig.

we got a tip on a maverick setting in someones yard all buried int eh weeds so we went to check it out and sure enough there was a maverick setting in the weeds along the side of the road we stopped and checked it out,
at first glance it looked to be a NICE small bumper car that got rear ended. it looked like you could replace the bumper and rear valance and it would be good as new again. but upon closer inspection the 1/4 panel was smashed in about 3 inches or more on the drivers side and the roof had LOTS of baseball size dents and the passenger 1/4 looked like someone kicked a big dent in it behind the door interior was in okay shape but definitely needed alot of attention. turns out its a 71 maverick I6 with 4 lug drum brakes all the way around

had to ask if it was for sale and was told yeah for around $1700 :dizzy:
nice guy owned it and was really cool about letting us check it out. so all in all a good day. got to find another mav in the area we didnt know about before:thumbs2:

Here are a couple that I saw on a trip to a town about an hour from me earlier this year.

The green car is a pretty solid 6 cylinder automatic car that appears to be daily driven.

The black car is a '70 or ''71 true Grabber that has a 347 stroker motor in it. Notice the license plate says '4 cylinder'.

my dad told me where a maverick was just setting in someones driveway in sacramento and sure enough when I went to look for it there it was rotting away in someones driveway. the car was an early small bumper 4 lug car. it didnt look like it had been touched in years let alone drivin.
Im going to go back and knock on the door again tomorrow to see if I can land car number 10
