Here is something a bit different for this thread. I was driving around in an area I don't get to often enough, just about 6-7 miles from home here. I cruised past the place where I bought my first Comet, a 1971 I purchased in 1980 for the princely sum of $550. (It was rough for a 9 year old car that only had 50K on the odometer). It is now a new business .... https://www.clearwaterbrewingcompany.com/about-us Look at the video loop in the second section and you can see where it was a gas station previously before they remodeled it. I may have to get down there to have a beer or three. Here is the car I bought there, probably a year of improvement invested at this point....
Looks like the car was in an episode of "Moonshiners"? Someone would probably get shot trying to find it. "Are you messin' with my hooch?!?!?" LOL. By the way, I did make it over to that microbrewery I mentioned a few posts up. A buddy, who also is a car guy, took me there for my birthday. The beer was good stuff, too. The brewery owner was surprised to hear the garage also sold cars. I explained to him that the Comet I bought there was cobbled back together after a wreck and given a quick paint job, and it made sense they were doing this as part of the business.
