It was. You seem to have a gift for getting the right wheel/tire combination, stance, color and equipment on your cars that make them look right.

I appreciate the kind words! :thumbs2:

I'm a firm believer that wheels and tires 'make' a car. Certain color combos seem to need a chrome wheel to make the car 'pop' and others need something other than chrome.

I'm happy with the wheel choices that we have made for our Mavericks and Comets. We changed the wheels on all 4 cars from what were on them we we bought them.

I agree completely. When I first bought my car it had Boyd's wheels on it but they looked out of place to me. My daily driver Ranger has '95 Cobra 'R' wheels with black spokes and polished rims in the summer.

    Good looking truck!

I used to have a '84 Ranger with a fuel injected 302 and a T5 5 speed. It was bright blue and I ran 'big and little' Weld Draglites on it. I used a set of Cragar center caps on those wheels because they had blue decals and they matched the truck better than the black and red Weld center cap decals. It is all about the small details! :D

Nice cars! I want to ask about the tail panel color. It appears to be a satin or gloss? My car has a flat black tail panel which I believe was original at the time. I plan on having the car painted this fall and thinking a satin black at the least. Looking a ur Comet I like whatever is on the back panel.

    Thanks!

The rear panel of our Comet is painted gloss black. Originally it was more of a satin black. The previous owner had the car painted about two years ago and decided to paint the tail panel and the black stripe on the hood in gloss black. He also clear coated over top of the hood stripes so there isn't a tape line.

I kind of like the original look better but it was done so nicely that we will probably leave it as it is. Many people prefer the gloss over the satin anyway.

Hey i know this is an old thread but I was looking through the forums for pictures of torque thrust rims since I wanted to install them on my car and saw you have the same U.S. Mag rims I want to buy. Did you install them on your wagon and did you like them?

IMG_2498.JPG IMG_2659.JPG IMG_2077.JPG Rapture, I have since gotten rid of the cragars and did install those US MMags on my maverick, it looks killer(to me anyway), and I like them so well that I bought another set for my wagon, as I used the set intended for it on my mav. I also have a set of 17" rims from a mustang that look pretty good on the mav.

IMG_2494.JPG 15x7's all the way around, and I believe the backspacing on these wheels are 3 3/4" not 4". I really like em and have had lots of comps on them, so other people like em too.

Heres a pic of the wagon with the mustang wheels, I like it!!!

Nice looking cars! 55crownvic, may I ask how much of a difference in ride quality the 17's made compared to the 15's, since you've had chances to compare them back to back

the 17's are a lot harsher ride, too stiff for me, the 15's are much better(for my liking)I liked the looks of the 17's but if I cant stand to drive the car then its a no brainer. Gotta go with the smoother ride. And also since the city cant find the funds to repair the roads in this fine town,(because someone pocketed the funds) then I need the smoother ride.
