Cheap pipes once i get the motor settled in my plan is to hook up the cheap Red Hots I got for under 40 bucks with a couple of bends and set them right under my door hanging of the rocker panel seam. I cant wait till i drive them for for a while and the red paint starts to blacken. thats what i call mean pipes. only thing that sucks about it is that i wont have the space for a h pipe that way oh well. i love glasspacks out the side when im on the highway, it is a beautiful sound.
no they do not......with a heck of a lot of time they will......As I have already made a set work.....
I traded rebuilding a transmission for these pipes back in the mid 70's. I still need to clean them up...and yes, they do get hot to the touch when getting out of the car. I still have the scar
Wow, those Thrush take me back to the 70's. I had a set on my 73 back in 73! An old girlfriend is probably still sporting some horizontal stripes on her calf because of them too!
I bought two sets the nice ABS plastic ones at $300 a set to make to cut and join them together!!!!! plus you have to cut your rocker panel out towards the rear 1/4 panel to get the tips clearance. Most guys will not do that as they are not man enough to cut up perfectly good sheet metal........ clap: But they can work. I was going to get some molded and sell some but I never really was into the whole make a profit thing......and I hate to say it I like being relatively exclusive on some aspects of my build..... I have 700.00 in parts and a good 10 hours in labor making them work!!!!
Nope and I doubt unless you buy some direct from Brazil you will not.....If some of you guys are interested I might have some made outta fiber glass But I would need 10 sets pre-sold(paid in advance) before I even felt as if I could break even( and that is all I care about I aint in for profit). I talked to a couple local FB guys and they said after the first 10 they could cut better deals....the first group covers the labor to build the molds and test fit and redesign as they see fit......
To be honest, Frank, like Chris "RadMAv" I have chosen not to post any pics of my project until it is finished. I have my reasons which are personal and I want to be able to wow people all at once. I have documented every step in a journal and also with a Video.....I have a cool idea to do with the footage!!!! Sorry to disappoint anybody. I have no issue giving links to the company I bought my side pipe covers from. I opted to buy two sets as I was worried using different materials would shrink and crack after the joining process. I plastic welded them together and reinforced them with sheet metal inside!!!! Besides joining them together I had to trim them in key areas!!!! I hope that helps!!!! http://www.abcexclusive.com/bodykits_main.htm#abc800sp scroll down to the SN95 mustang stuff. Good quality!!!
I did not list a price because honestly we both know there are not 10 people here who want them.......unless they were free
