    Just to throw this out there as another option here is the adapter I used, it turns the filter 90 degress.

    Ford Racing
    M-6880-A50
    90 DEGREE OIL FILTER ADAPTER

    Screws into block and rotates filter toward front of engine to provide clearance for engine swaps and chassis modifications
    Fits most Ford pushrod engines that use Ford Racing CM-6731-FL1A or Motorcraft FL-1A oil filter (filter sold seperately)

    Got my headers!

    Well I got the headers from crites on Friday. They look nice but I have a couple questions. Do I need to cut out the area on the shock towers that they send patch panels for? Do I keep the pipes and collectors un-welded for removal if needed?

    I had already notched my towers but yes you will need to trim towers. As for the collectors they remain unwelded and are held in place by two small bolts through tabs on the collectors. Now would be a good time to have them coated to protect your investment.
