I was commenting on the 9.95, but more so on the almost "stock street car" demeanor of the car at the line...............no lumpty lump from the cam, it just didn't act like a car that would turn sub 10's.................like my Maverick which is strictly a drag car...............his doesn't look like a drag car but certainly goes like one................what I call a "True Sleeper", and an 11's street car is nothing to sneeze at....................................IMHO

Any to Franks comment, you could say about any engine..................well, maybe with the exception of LS motors...............................:D

Not saying the car isn't impressive at all it is! And i know what your saying i had a old 64 Pickup with a Bigblock big cam 4000 converter 456 gears and was a pretty obnoxious street vehicle and only ran 12.00s on its best pass.My Comet went 12.40 this past friday and it's a stock 302 with a b303 cam 650 carb and rpm intake.Oh and gets 20mpg.
There's a girl in town here that has a purple 4 door fairmont with a paxton blown 347 in it.Runs 10.60's and i seen her at the store putting grocerys in the trunk the other day.

The car is really fast. I'm sure the $25k check (after Uncle Sam takes a big bite) will only pay for a fraction of what was put in the car, but it is a sweet piece!

The Rambler has dynoed a shade over 2000 rwhp
on race gas. But the Dynamax competition required E-85.

We had a couple of threads earlier this year touting E-85 as bine as good as race gas or better......so how much of a loss in HP did he have with the E-85?
Have friends wth a Pro-Mod that are making that HP with the motor on going going high 5's.................and their 4dr car is maybe a little lighter.....but it is a tube chassis car..................and not a street car.

Let me elaborate a bit... Brian was running either pump gas (street) or race gas in the car and had never ran any E 85 before. As the video says he had the car torn completely apart just two weeks before the competition in Vegas, and they called him to let him know that All cars in the competition would be REQUIRED to run E85 !

Of coarse that meant he had to not only get the car back together , but also set it up to run with the E85. I think he still did pretty good.:yup:

On the Power tour Brian Drove the car with his girlfriemd and Father on board from Georgia to Virginia and then with a SAFE tune punched into the laptop ( A long way from home) won The dyno shootout they had going on with a little over 1100 rwhp... Then proceded to drive it back to Georgia.

The Rambler now sits in the corner of the garage waiting for its next driveline ,due to the old set up was transplanted into a Fox Mustang...

Same episode as the Randy Jackson pass I posted above...note Brians "B" cam comment.

One more vid just for fun...
