actually it just has a stock floor shifter, no console. which is going in my car. that tail lights might too. and the rims.

depending on how strong its 302 is thats going in too. i'll atleast hang onto the v8 mounts

The '72 has a single out header and the exhaust Y's off into dual glass packs. Have had many people comment it sounds like a V8 at idle. Going down the interstate it sounds like a swarm of bee's, though by no means is it loud or obnoxious, just a constant hum to it.

I'll try to get a video of it up soon. I need to put new glass packs on it bad, the ones on it came on my '74 Grabber and had been on that car since 1985. They still sound fine, but they are rusty and it's an uphill battle welding up the pinholes that keep blowing out here and there.

so i hooked the turbo up today

nothing to brag about... sounds a little bit deeper compared to the stock one and its pretty much deap quiet at idle. after i get it inspected in 2 months its comming back off. maybe if you had a full exhaust with this muffler it might sound better but if your looking to just hack off your old muffler and replace it with something that sounds a little cooler keep shopping...

    sorry no vid yet

the deepness does seem to give it a little bit of a ricer quality lol

i think im going to cut out the long section where the cat is under the floor and try the glass pack idea. maybe even tap a spark plug bung into my tail pipe while im at it :)

cat or not its probably the same velosity and pressure movine through my muffler. even with more pressure the muffler can only sound more echo-ey(sp)/ricer then it already does.

(i think in '74 or '75 mavericks got cats)

Here is the '72 with dual glass packs:

I don't think it sounds too bad (I've been living with it on a daily basis since April of 2005), camera makes it sound more raspy then it really is.

Considering its an I-6, it sounds pretty good. Looks a whole lot nicer than single exhaust too. Thanks for posting, that was interesting.

That really sounds good Jamie! I might just have to pull off my stock exhaust and go with that same setup. Plus I'm sure it wouldn't hurt having the stock cat, muffler, and resonator from 77 off of there. It would probably free up the exhaust flow quite a bit too.
