I think I'll have a hidden tape recorder going next time to help capture the audio moments. Maybe start a collection and post 'em up for everyone to hear the 'conviction' in their voices.

The way the one guy exlcaimed it, hell I was convinced he really did have '68 Maverick with a 427 in it!

I can't convey in text the sincerity in her voice when the lady asked about my gas mileage with nitrogen though. Today's gas prices bring out questions one would otherwise never be entertained by. Bless her heart.

That's funny right there. I don't care who you are.

Great stuff, Rick. Glad you could remember it after the thrill ride home.

there is a big diff. in the crowd that is in the "know zone" (us)
    and Joe public (them).
if you drove on the "street" like some of us do, you would get commets like that everywhere you stop....even at "stoplights" :yup: .

    ...Ricks' friend Frank...:bouncy:

At a light on Peachtree Industrial Blvd. a few weeks ago: "Hey, what is that, about a '65?" Me: "No, it's a '72" guy: "72? Wow, I didn't even know they made those in the 70's!"

I was stopped at a store on my way home from work one day ,and heard a man explaining to his young sone how "Those cars only came with little 6 cylinder engines ...and this man had to do a whole lot of work to put that big motor (my 302) in there!"
