here ya go...www.virtualengine2000.com It's a freebie. Terry you can sit on the tailgate of the Courier and let your feet double as wheelie bars on it's maiden voyage. :bananaman BTW....I got me a Chocolate covered funnel cake Sunday Thx John... Sorry to hear about your run of luck this weekend, I kept looking around all day Saturday expecting to see ya. I knew something serious came up when ya didn't make it. Strapping the beast in.....
Rick, I got an extra racing seat I'll send so you can mount it on the back. Can you build me a cage back there?
Rick, I think if you went 4:11 rear it would only compound the traction problem, but then you could do like I used to and take off in second with a stick shift. By putting the 3:70's in mine I didnt lose any qtr time or speed, but did make my launches more manageable. Now instead of going sideways in 3 gears I only go sideways in 2 gears. I am going to get mine on a dyno this year and see what is what. Dan
Dan once it get's goin it goes straight, it doesn't get sideways before it grabs,I'm hoping the ET streets will help it hook, the 4.11 will only be on there just for the Roundup, I like the 3.55 for cruising... I'm tryin to get an edge on Dennis, I think he's up to something.:evilsmile The 2 dyno pulls were only 65 bucks, it was worth it just to take the guessing out of the answer whenever someone asks.
Ray on my desktop calculator your numbers work out to 11.93 @ 112.9 mph...392 hp at the crank and 312 rwhp. I think that's pretty close to what your actual numbers are.
That's very close Rick. When I made the 11.96 run, it was before my last dyno session, so I'll assume I was making my baseline of 302whp. Maybe now that I'm actually making 312whp, I'll run another .03 quicker? hehehe What calculator is it that you have?
You guys really got me wanting to try mine out now. I haven't made a run down the track in 20 years but I'm really excited about the way this car feels. I know it's gonna get me in trouble on the streets if I'm not careful. I'll be putting some good brakes on it as soon as my rotors get here and I've got a little vibration problem I have to figure out. I think it's either in the rear wheels or maybe the driveshaft. Anyway, as soon as I get all that worked out I'll bring it to the track and play with it a bit. Gotta do that before I make it to Kentucky. I just hope I can compete a little with you guys but 11's sounds mighty fast to me. I think I'd be happy if I can break into the 12's.
here ya go Ray...it's a freebie download..http://www.virtualengine2000.com/ Ray Parrish we will be running an 1/8th mile track at the roundup...high 7's or low 8's will usually translate to a 12 second quarter. I prefer the 1/8 th as my Mav just doesn't feel right in the front end at 110 mph.
Congrats on the numbers.......and speaking of numbers, I need a favor. The girl in the pic walking close to the dyno, yep- her number. I'd owe ya one.... ......Anyway, congrats for real to you and Mr. Ray. Preston
